Someone you can trust
to point you in the right direction?
Christian vicars and
ministers do a lot of different things.
One thing they do is
listen to people,
and support them to
make good decisions in difficult circumstances.
But these days most
of us are too embarrassed to ask.
That’s why we are
launching ‘Life Pastors’ in Okehampton.
This is a drop-in
facility each Market Saturday,
in St James’ Church
on the High Street.
One of the town’s
clergy will be there for you to chat to –
about anything.
This service is free
and confidential.
You do not need to
make an appointment.
This is not
counselling.
And it is not legal
or financial advice.
The idea of Life
Pastors is not to solve your problems for you,
or to tell you what
to do.
We won’t preach at
you
or try to get you to
come to our church on Sunday!
But we will listen to
you
and help you to think
through anything you want to talk about.
We’ll help you work
out what is the right thing to do.
